What to Expect

The two day 2023 Year 10 Easter School will take place at our Camden Campus in London, where students will take part in lectures, practicals and Q&As with our world-leading researchers. We will focus on hands-on experiences in our labs, anatomy museum and with our animals, and they’ll get the chance to meet current RVC students, other young people with a passion for animals and professionals working in a range of animal science careers. Students will work together to solve veterinary case studies, reflect on career goals and how to achieve them and enjoy student social activities!

Costs and Scholarships

The Year 10 Easter School is free to attend. The following expenses are covered: Food and drinks whilst on campus, transport to and from the campus, all equipment and activities.

Application and Entry Requirements

The Year 10 Easter School is intended to support pupils currently in Year 10 from under-represented backgrounds in higher education. To participate in this activity you must attend a state school and meet a number of other Widening Participation eligibility criteria such as being the first in the family to go to university, being eligible for Free School Meals, or living in an area with low progression rates to higher education.

The RVC is dedicated to being an organisation in which equity, diversity and inclusion underpin all that we do.   Eligibility for this bursary is targeted to support under-represented individuals, as we believe students from every background should be able to access advice, guidance and support in order to help them progress to and benefit from the transformative experience of higher education.   For more information on our commitment to improve equality of opportunity for under-represented groups please read our Access & Participation Plan (APP): www.rvc.ac.uk/study/rvc-is-open-for-all/access-and-participation
