Open Farm Sunday Pet First Aid
In September, our Emergency
and Critical Care teams at the Queen
Mother Hospital for Animals hosted
a Pet First Aid event for members of our
local community. They learnt about the
dangers of various poisons and toxins
and basic first aid skills.
We hope to run two of these
sessions per yeaar. If you know of
anyone interested in attending such
an event, please ask them to email
communityrelations@rvc.ac.uk to
be added to our mailing list.
On 12th June, as part Farm Animal Clinic Club, Animal Welfare
of LEAF Open Farm Society and the RVC Biodiversity team
were also on hand to talk to our visitors.

Boltons Park Farm showcased the RVC
at its very best ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥“ visitors learnt about
science in farming, animal husbandry
and veterinary care, met our researchers
and students, as well as the Herts Police
Rural Support team, local produce and
craft makers and bought cakes to raise
funds for the RVCÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥™s Animal Care Trust.
Students Jas and Katelin demonstrated
skills at spinning (from our own sheep
fleeces) and felting. The StudentsÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥™ Union
