Dr Sian-Marie Frosini recognised by ECCMID
Dr Sian-Marie Frosini, post-doctorate microbiology researcher within the Dermatology group in the Clinical Sciences and ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥ Department, has been recognised by the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) as part of their '30 under 30' initiative.
ECCMID has selected 30 outstanding young scientists under the age of 30 to celebrate their to be held in Paris on 18-21 April this year. Sian, formerly a BBSRC iCASE PhD student in collaboration with Dechra Veterinary Products, will be featured in the programme booklet and will present an abstract entitled 'qPCR to detect mecA in faecal samples: a tool for assessing resistance burden amongst pets and their owners in the microbiological 'fast age', based on her current MRC-funded research into antimicrobial resistance, supervised by Dr Anette Loeffler.
