2016 ELBI Fellow
Congratulations to (PhD student) who has been selected as a Fellow in the 2016 class of the . This initiative was created by the UPMC Center for Health Security in the US to identify, develop, and provide networking opportunities to the next generation of leaders in this exciting, challenging, and multidisciplinary field.
Wendy will be joining a vibrant community of over 100 ELBI alumni from various fields and backgrounds. As a 2016 ELBI Fellow, Wendy will have some unique opportunities to interact with established leaders in the field, many of whom serve on the Executive Steering Committee. Wendy will be participating in a series of events designed to facilitate candid discussions about current and anticipated biosecurity challenges and to provide opportunities to contribute ideas to the scientific and policy communities.
As a Fellow, Wendy will gain resources and experiences to advance her knowledge of key biosecurity issues and help her learn about careers in the field. This will be a fantastic opportunity for her.
