Laura is a Staff Clinician in Emergency and Critical care at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, 新月直播. Her role includes supervising residents in providing emergency and critical veterinary care.

 

Laura graduated from Cambridge University in 2011 and spent years in general practice before undertaking an internship and then residency at the RVC in emergency and critical care. She gained the American Diploma in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2019, the European Diploma in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care shortly after and is now a lecturer in emergency and critical care at the 新月直播, having completed her fellowship in higher education in 2021. Her areas of interest include point-of-care ultrasound, acute kidney injury, and veterinary teaching. She is chair of the veterinary emergency and critical care ultrasound interest group, EVECC and lectures nationally and internationally on all topics, with a particular interest in point-of-care ultrasound.

Laura has published various studies in the field of acute kidney injury and blood transfusions.

Laura has completed a teaching and learning in higher education and is actively invovled in hopsital teaching and volunteers to assisit with undergraduate communication teaching programme.

Laura's clinical work is focused on management of intensive care patients and dealing with emergency referrals.
